SHANGHAI, July 8 (Reuters) – The China Affiliation of Auto Producers (CAAM), citing antitrust legislation, on Saturday retracted a pledge to keep away from “irregular pricing” made two days earlier by 16 automakers, together with Tesla. (TSLA.O).
Thursday's CAAM-organised pledge by the businesses, together with Chinese language electrical car (EV) makers Nio, Li Auto and Xpeng, had been interpreted by some as signalling a truce in a value battle that has threatened industry-wide profitability.
